Civic Meridian is committed to providing practical, high-quality education and professional development for public-sector professionals. Participants should understand the following conditions regarding training, licensing preparation, continuing education, and professional certification.
Continuing Education Approval
Not all Civic Meridian courses qualify for continuing education units, continuing education hours, professional development credit, or licensing credit.
When a Civic Meridian course has been approved for a specific type of continuing education credit, the applicable course description or registration materials will identify the credit being offered and, where appropriate, the approving organization or regulatory authority.
Participants should verify that a course is acceptable for their particular license, certification, classification, renewal period, or professional requirement before relying upon the course for credit.
Approval for one profession, license, certification, or jurisdiction does not necessarily constitute approval for another.
Licensing & Certification Preparation
Civic Meridian may offer courses, study materials, practice examinations, workshops, tutoring, or other resources designed to help participants prepare for professional licensing or certification examinations.
Participation does not guarantee that a participant will pass an examination, obtain a license or certification, qualify for employment, receive a promotion, or satisfy a regulatory requirement.
Practice questions and examinations are educational materials developed to reinforce relevant concepts and should not be interpreted as actual examination questions unless expressly identified otherwise.
Civic Meridian does not represent that its practice materials reproduce or predict the specific questions that will appear on a state, licensing, or certification examination.
Regulatory Requirements
Licensing, certification, continuing education, and renewal requirements are established by the applicable governmental agencies, licensing boards, professional organizations, or other authorities and may change.
Participants are responsible for confirming current requirements directly with the appropriate authority.
Civic Meridian may provide information concerning regulatory or licensing requirements as an educational resource, but such information should not replace official guidance from the applicable regulatory authority.
Course Completion
Where continuing education or completion documentation is offered, participants may be required to satisfy attendance, participation, assessment, identity-verification, or other course requirements.
A certificate of completion confirms only the participation or completion represented on the certificate. It does not constitute issuance of a professional license or certification by Civic Meridian.
Technical & Operational Training
Public works, code enforcement, water, wastewater, and other public-sector operations can involve technical, regulatory, occupational, and safety considerations.
Civic Meridian training is intended to supplement, not replace, applicable laws, regulations, operating procedures, manufacturer instructions, engineering requirements, safety programs, employer policies, or professional judgment.
Participants should follow the requirements and procedures established by their employer and applicable regulatory authorities.
